Whip Practice is on for
September 20, 2009
and the grand finale:
Whip Practice and Potluck
September 27, 2009
Summer took its sweet time getting here, and now its leaving us all too fast. BUT!
We still have 3 Whip Practices left (weather permitting, as usual)
We'll be in the park Sept 13th, 20th & 27th and then.. its goodbye till next year!
So the last one, Sept 27 will be POTLUCK!
Bring whatever you like but since its our last one I say lets send it out in style!
See you all there!
And just a reminder, you dont have to be a Whip Freak to attend.. we've had an awesome turnout this year of whip folks, poi spinners, and lots more who just come to chat and hang out!
And we always have extra whips and poi available if anyone wants to try it out but lacks the equipment.
Thanks to everyone who has come out all summer, its been an awesome event!
We will meet to the right of the parking lot off Seagram Drive. (please visit the link below for links to a map and directions to the park)
Every Sunday throughout the warm weather season we will be out practicing for anyone who wants to drop by starting at 2pm. Once a month we'll make it a Practice and Potluck event. Bring whatever food or drinks you like for yourselves and to share with everyone.
People of all skill levels are invited to attend. Novices are welcome to come out and improve their skills. More skilled players are equally welcome to further hone their craft or to teach this artful skill to those with less experience.
Or just come and hang out to chat, we do alot of that too!
As we will be practicing on trees, leaves, paper and other non human targets, this event is family friendly so feel free to bring your little ones. Also, this event is fair game for more than just whips! Bring your floggers, dragon tails or even poi practice items (no fire please!) if you like!
We will be in a public space so please mind all the usual societal protocols regarding basic politeness, courtesy and language. Lots of 'nillas already have a bad opinion of us, no reason to give them further reason to disapprove!
We will bring stakes and rope to section off the whip area. You bring food stuffs, drinks, etc.. and of course WHIPS!!
We look forward to seeing you there!
